Cameron Toll Development: Member Consultation Sessions 22nd June

11/06/2026

PLEASE ATTEND  - this matters to us all who play sport and use Inch Park or pitches in South Edinburgh

This is the biggest change  our community will see in the next 30 years – time to get involved and have your say.

Inch Park Community Sports Club Board has had some  early engagement with Hunter Reim  regarding the major new Cameron Toll masterplan (500 homes/up to potential 2000 additional residents , retail space, and multi-10 story buildings) right on our doorstep. You can review the proposal on the Cameron Toll Masterplan Website.

They plan to submit a planning application  summer /Autumn 2026. Time is crucial that we engage meaningfully  in this process as a collective of Sports Clubs and residents in South Edinburgh

Why this matters to Inch Park

IPCSC has not yet formed an official position on the development. These sessions will help us all gain the information to allow us to assess the impact on both our member clubs and our collective ability to cope with the additional demand  and impact on our  pitches and Club house .

Key considerations for us we need to gain some understanding on  from Hunter Reim at this session are:

  • Facility and Volunteer impact :  New residents  will put a massive pressure on clubs already operating at peak capacity and a club house already needing additional space.

  • Park Wear & Tear: Increased footfall will impact park usage, maintenance, and potential damage.

  • Construction Impacts: potential a 10 -15 year build programme in phases  introduces heightened flood risks, restricted parking for users, and environmental threats to our high-quality sports pitches.

  • Protecting our Finances: The last major park project (the Flood Prevention Scheme) left our clubs with a £500k repair bill for drainage and fine turf that took a decade to recover from. How can they convince us this will not repeat.

How to get involved

We need strong representation from all members to ensure our collective voices are aired and  heard. Please send in questions in advance or ask on the night to help the Board  gain  overall views of our members to ensure we represent you in discussions and the  Planning  process  moving forward

  • When: Two separate sessions on Monday 22nd June 6-7pm and 7.30-8.30pm
