Exclusive:Capital football club leave MSP 'in awe' as Council come under fresh pressure to deliver new ground

This week, Edinburgh South Community Football Club was recognised in the Scottish Parliament.

During the debate, Daniel Johnson MSP said: “I am in awe of what Edinburgh South Community Football Club and Inch Park Community Sports Club do.”

What do we do?

• 1,000+ players

• 75 teams

• 200+ volunteers

• Boys’, girls’, women’s and men’s football

• Around 120 children at our free Soccer School every Saturday morning

That recognition belongs to the coaches who give up their evenings, the parents who wash the strips and stand in all weather, the volunteers who open up and lock up, and the kids proudly wearing the badge week in, week out.

 Grassroots football is not just about results. It’s about belonging. It’s about confidence. It’s about giving young people a place to be.

Now we keep working to secure the long-term facilities at Inch Park so we can keep serving this community for generations to come.
